Pierce County, the scenic gateway to Western Wisconsin along US highway 10 through Prescott WI.  Pierce County  was established in 1853 and for over 150 years the county enjoyed a vigorous and prosperous agriculturally based economy which is still evident today in the pastoral vistas of apple orchards , vineyards and dairy farms.  Over the years Pierce County has retained its rural charm, while evolving into the pristine tourist destination it has become today.

The County is rich in history and culture with one of the finest Genealogical resource centers in the country located at the University of Wisconsin River Falls.  For the sportsman, boating on the beautiful St. Croix river is an unforgettable experience with the confluence of the Mississippi and the St. Croix rivers being located at Prescott WI . Further east, World Class Trout Fishing may be enjoyed on the Kinnickinnic, Trembell, and Rush rivers. There are numerous public Golf Courses and Parks as well over 200 miles of groomed snowmobile trials for the winter months. In recent years there has been a influx  of equestrian activates as well

Family events abound year round and are highlighted with the Pierce County Fair, the Cheese Curd Festival and numerous local community events.
